Congratulations to Chelsey Poindexter of Harbor Springs! Chelsey, 21, is the winner of the New Teacher Network’s “Outfit My Classroom” Sweepstakes and will receive $500 worth of desktop accessories and school supplies!
Chelsey is a recent graduate of Hope College where she received a B.A. in English-Secondary Education and is certified in English and Psychology grades 6-12. She is in her first year of teaching English, Mythology, and Drama at Harbor Springs High School in Harbor Springs.
Chelsey’s biggest teaching challenge so far has been keeping up with the workload of lesson planning and grading. What Chelsey enjoys most about being a teacher is having a positive impact on the lives and learning of her students. When Chelsey isn’t teaching, she enjoys coaching cross country and track, running, reading, playing euchre, and watching sports.
